Roti Run through Malaysia en route to Thailand: 17 January 2013, Langkawi to Satun

Breakfast buffet was spaghetti, bolognese sauce, mashed potatoes - we skipped.  The ferry was quick although it was a bit hairy loading and unloading the bikes over the gap between the boat and shore of more than 1 metre.
We cycled from Tammalung Pier to Satun, just 8km and found a really lovely small chalet hotel, The Gleam Resort.  It is owned and run by an ex-lawyer from Bangkok, who has returned to her hometown.  We would highly recommend this to anyone making a trip to Satun.
Tomorrow, we set off towards Trang which will be really tough as the winds are expected to increase and be against us.  Apparently, the road has been described as the dragon's back.  If we can get in 80km, it will be a good start.

    Je suis réellement très impressionnée, vous faites en moyenne 90/100 km par jour... Admiration et félicitations !

    Pourquoi ne pas poster une photo de temps à autre sur votre blog ? (si c'est possible !)

      Bonjour Marguerite,
      Merci d'avoir lu notre BB blog. Nous avons apporte li'iPad sur ce voyage et franchement, je n'ai pas encore appris a faire transferer des photos de l'appareil de David. Les cafes d'Internet que nous avons visites etaient plus adaptes aux gameurs qu'aux bloggeurs.
      Peu importe, nous arriverons chez nous ce soir et j'ajouterai qqe photos dans les prochains jours.

      Entièrement d'accord : d'abord le voyage et ensuite la technologie...

      Ces randonnées, qui durent plusieurs jours, voire plus, laissent des souvenirs impérissables dans la mémoire. Ils sont comme des trésors.

    Good distance coverage you have. When I did the Penang - Trang ride, I did 160km per day average!

    Would be nice to see photos.

      We arrived in Krabi yesterday and will take the ferry to Phuket this afternoon.
